Legacy Lounge is a life-enrichment video program where residents each create a 3-minute My~LifeStory tribute using their photos and written reflections. These videos are crafted through scheduled, one-on-one My~LifeStory Sessions — part of the Legacy Lounge experience — where each resident’s materials are reviewed and collected.

You can choose the rollout format that best fits your space and schedule:

• 📆 Program Format Options:

  • One-day event with back-to-back resident sessions

  • Multi-day schedule with smaller daily groups

• ⏱️ Time Commitment:

  • Each resident session (My~LifeStory Session) takes approximately 20 minutes

• 💡 To keep the day running smoothly, we recommend scheduling no more than 10–12 sessions per day. This allows for setup, breaks, and a comfortable pace — especially for larger programs run over multiple days.

Depending on your community’s preferred setup, payment can be handled in one of three ways:

• Resident-Paid: Residents or their families pay directly using a secure online link

• Facility-Paid: The community covers the full cost for each participant (invoiced in bulk)

• Sponsored: Families may sponsor a resident’s video as a personal gift

We’ll coordinate the payment plan during onboarding and provide all necessary forms or links for easy collection.

Facilities that pay via a single group invoice — and manage internal collection from residents — are eligible for an additional $25 off per resident. This simplifies coordination, speeds up production, and minimizes administrative burden for your team.

To spark interest and maximize participation, we recommend starting your rollout with a brief Legacy Lounge Info Session. This short, informal gathering lets residents preview a sample video, ask questions, and get excited about sharing their own story.

We also provide a suite of materials to support your sign-up process:

• 📄 Flyers to display in common areas or distribute to residents

• 📝 Sign-up forms for easy registration

• 🎥 Sample My~LifeStory videos to give a clear and inspiring example of the final tribute

• Optional newsletter copy you can include in your community updates

These materials can be shared in print or digital formats to help generate excitement and secure participation.

We recommend a 1-week sign-up period, supported by the Info Session, flyers, reminders, and family outreach.

Each resident will receive a My~LifeStory Prep Kit — a clear zip folder that includes everything they need to participate in the Legacy Lounge program. It also provides a secure place to store their printed photos until their session.

The kit contains:

1. The My~LifeStory Questionnaire
   A simple, thoughtful form to guide their written reflections.

2. Directions for Uploading Digital Photos
   A secure link is provided, which can be shared with family or friends who may wish to contribute additional images.

3. A #2 Pencil
   Included to write light notes on the back of printed photos (names, dates, memories, etc.).

4. A Welcome Sheet with Instructions
   Outlines next steps and helpful reminders in one easy-to-follow page.

Residents will be asked to:

• Fill out the questionnaire

• Select up to 35 printed photos and label them using the pencil

• Upload digital images (optional) using the link

• Keep all materials safe in the folder and bring them to their scheduled story session

Part of the Legacy Lounge Program

Each resident will have a one-on-one session with our team. During this time, we will:

• ✅ Collect their completed My~LifeStory Questionnaire

• ✅ Receive and review their printed photo collection

• ✅ Review any digital photos submitted via the secure upload link

• ✅ Take notes and clarify any captions or key moments

• ✅ Help identify the most meaningful memories to highlight in the video

• ✅ Ensure all materials are ready for offsite scanning and production

These 20-minute sessions are designed to be relaxed, meaningful, and easy for the resident to enjoy.

After the scheduled My~LifeStory Sessions, photos are either:

• 📍 Scanned onsite if a dedicated space is available, or

• 🔐 Transported to a secure offsite location for high-quality scanning and digital organization

This flexibility allows us to ensure consistency across all videos, manage larger groups efficiently, and reduce the time required during onsite sessions.

Our editors thoughtfully craft a 3-minute My~LifeStory tribute using the resident’s photos, written reflections, music, and gentle transitions. Videos are delivered digitally in high-resolution MP4 format, ready to download and share with family.

Each video is completed within approximately 4 weeks of the resident’s session.

Once finished, the video is delivered digitally as an HD download link — easy to view, save, and share with loved ones.

Celebrate the program with a community screening event called the Legacy Lounge Premiere — a heartfelt and memorable way to honor and share each resident’s story.

Many communities choose to host this as a culminating event, inviting friends and family to attend. The Premiere not only celebrates the participants, but also gives residents the opportunity to learn more about each other — building stronger connections, reducing feelings of loneliness, and contributing to a more joyful and engaged community.
